Dadipark amusement park,Belgium 2011.
Dadipark began life in october 1949 with the help of Pastor Deweer of the nearby cathedral. The rides were mostly powered by the kids themselves which no doubt enhanced their physical side unlike those of today. In later years, the park was run by local retailers and with that eventually some rides became mechanical. In 2003 however,a boy was reported to have lost his arm riding the Nautic Jet which caused the Park to close for some Health and Safety checks to carried out,but there is no proof this accident actually took place. The Park almost opened on several occasions after, but never actually did so.We visited in early spring to take advantage of not having so many leaves on the trees so you can see all the swings now hidden by sapplings.I have included some Post cards I have showing the Park before closure.See here for the second album of Dadipark https://klempner69.smugmug.com/Travel/Derelict-Amusement-Park/Dadipark-The-Return-2012/
