Washpool cottages
Same cottages but a different view..we played in here as children in the 1960s
Mount Pleasant with Cuckoo Bridge
Mount Pleasant again
I love this one as it shows the old foundry and the cottages on the corner..I played in those also in the 1960s
Post Office
Wonderful photo of the Post Office and Weslyan Chapel
Fantastic shot of Turnball
When I was a kid in the 1960s,this was George Millers sweet shop..I can still see them now all these years later
Chiseldon station
Another view of the cottages on the corner of High St.How did we ever allow this village to be destroyed as it has?
Viewed from the Church Tower..see the next slide for the flip of this card
Written by a soldier serving and based in Chiseldon Camp,it was addressed to a pub called The Star in Dorking..I checked, and it still thrives to this day
