Square D, which also made a range of components from circuit breakers to 'complex controls for the complete automation of modern factories' (according to its own 1970 advertisement) began life inside one of Plessey's factories before emerging as a factory in its own right.This is really only the frontage due to fact that the rear part of the site is still used by a transport company.The last firm I remember to use the factory was Easy Living Furniture but they have since vanished.I feel that since the Plessey factory next door was demolished in 2014,this site will be next to face the wrecking ball as no business would consider moving into this complex looking at the condition of it now.
