Spring quarry was one of many Bath stone quarrys that were taken over by the MOD In 1942.. Spring became home to the manufacturing of Centaurus engines,gun-barrels,turrets and under-carriage for Bristol Aircraft Company.It ceased in 1945.
We visited 2010,but the mine has been sealed up tight since.
