In WW2 this was used by 10 group Fighter command,and after the war as HQ for the Royal Observer Corps till 1990,in the 60`s Skynet used it as a Coms Hub..later on it was used for spacecraft Opps centre established by 1001 Signals Unit.Some think UFO`s were secretly tracked from here but that remains to be proven.We visited early 2011 and later that year,rumour had it that the Manor was being refurbished and that the old camp was to be demolished.
